Amelia Alcock-White (Vancouver Island, Canada) is a contemporary Canadian artist based in Vancouver. She studied fine art at Vancouver Island University and Emily Carr University of Art and Design. Alcock-White is known for her oil paintings depicting water, myths, philosophy, and the west coast. The latest collection of work, ''Water Born'' 2012, is described as a ''passionate collection of paintings that explore rebirth, identity, history, and humanity's origins.'' Her work is ''characterized by an elegant balance between mythical and realistic imagery.
